Designer for a Day Package

Our Designer for a Day service at Janele Stratton Designs provides you with expert guidance from your Interior Design partner. This flat-fee package is paid in advance and allows you to spend a day with us as your design assistant. We will help you navigate the sometimes overwhelming decision-making process and get started on your design project. Our goal is to ensure your time and money are well spent, helping you avoid costly design mistakes.

What’s Included?

6 Hours of Design Consultation: This time can be spread across more than one day upon request. The package includes a consultation to understand your goals, preferences, and investment amount.
Comprehensive Assistance: Ideal for clients managing their own projects who want professional input on finish details and selections to ensure they align with their design goals.
Lunch: If you choose to have everything completed in one day, we will stop for lunch midway through the 6 hour design day.

How Does it Work?

During our first meeting, either in person or virtually, we will discuss your design goals, preferences, and budget. Our 6 hours together can be used for various design decisions, including:

• Paint Colors
• Finish Materials (flooring, tile, etc.)
• Cabinetry Finish, Style, and Hardware
• Countertops
• Lighting
• Appliances
• Plumbing Fixtures (faucets, sinks, tubs, showers)
• Furnishings

This package is perfect for decision-makers who might be overwhelmed by choices. Ideally, your project should be near the beginning stages—before much work is done—so we can assess your needs and help you get on the right path.

Who is it For?

The Designer for a Day package is intended for:

• Clients who need help finalizing decisions on various design aspects of their project.
• Individuals who are at the start of their project and need guidance to avoid costly mistakes.
• Clients looking for assistance with decorating decisions, such as furniture selection and placement.

What’s Not Included?

This package is not intended for large-scale design projects involving structural changes like moving walls, doors, or windows. It does not typically include deliverables such as design or construction drawings unless used for a simple room layout rather than the items listed above.

Investment Details

• Flat Fee: The investment for our packages involves a flat fee, and your products, materials, finishes, furnishings, and décor will be billed separately.
• Payment: All of our design packages are paid in advance. We accept credit card payments through Stripe, bank cashier's checks, or electronic payments through Venmo.
